NOTE: DriveSpace 3, available in Microsoft Plus!, offers major improvements over the standard version of DriveSpace that is included with Windows 95. Improvements include increased total capacity for a compressed drive of up to 2GB, selectable degrees of file compression, the option of compressing files only when free disk space falls below a certain threshold, and other features not available in earlier versions of DriveSpace.
TIP: The following procedure can also be performed in the drive 'Properties' dialog box: Select the floppy drive in the 'My Computer' window, select the 'File' menu, and select 'Properties', and then click 'Compression'.
